HEARING VOLUME

Hearing volume

The number of individuals equates to the unique number of offenders seen by the Board. This figure differs from the number of hearings as one offender can appear before the Board more than once in a 12-month period.

NB: The 2005/06 Hearing Volume chart is significantly different from previous Annual Reports. The figures for individuals (cases) have been revised and decreased substantially. This is attributable to the development of a more sophisticated and accurate electronic reporting system to capture this data.

The phrase ‘case’ has been replaced with ‘individuals’ as this is a more accurate reflection of the data being reported on.
